ありあけも三十日に近し餅の音

(ariake-mo misoka-ni-chikashi mochi-no-oto)

餅つきの音があちこちにしていることを詠んでいるとの解釈に基づき複数形にしました。

（注）

(A)は通説どおり「春もやや」を「春も・やや」と解釈して翻訳しています。「梅」に対応する英語で俳句に適切な単語は無いので「ume」と記述します。

(B)は最後の「や」を詠嘆の助詞と捉えて、「春靄や」と読む新解釈で翻訳しています。「芭蕉が墨絵を念頭にしてこの句にそのような含みをもたせた」と大胆な深読みをするのは穿ち過ぎでしょうか？

庭はきて雪をわするるははきかな 

(niwa-haki-te yuki-o wasururu hahaki-kana)

the broom forgets

「ははき」は箒のことです。真蹟自画賛によると寒山のことを詠んだ俳句です。句意が分かりやすいように語句を補充して翻訳しましたが、更に解説が無けらば理解できない俳句です。
