(Note)
The reception of the Japan P.E.N. Club was held in the hall called “swan” of Kyoto International Conference Center.
To my amusement, I noticed that “pen” means a female swan, whereas, for the first time, a female writer (Ms. Natsuo Kirino) was elected as the current head of the Japan P.E.N. Club.
